Snowday Predictions for 1/23

I hope that everybody is enjoying watching their Sunday Night football or not watching it and doing something else. I personally love football, my Patriots, and the excitement of watching a game. I am writing this while watching the Giants play the 49ers. The only thing I like to do better on a Sunday night is to think about a weather induced day off, or delay.

So, initially, people reading this are going to say “But Snowman, its not going to snow tonight? Why write anything at all?” Well you’d be right about the snow. Its not the snow that people should be worried about. Its a freezing drizzle that we’re going to get.

At around 5 a.m tommorow morning, we can expect a bit a freezing rain. The rain will fall from 5 a.m to around 7 a.m. This rain will make the roads slick, and icy, RIGHT AT THE TIME THAT THE SCHOOL HAS TO SAY IF IT WILL CLOSE OR NOT.

This is the absolute timing, and we may see about a tenth of an inch of ice on the roads. The weather will pick up, and the ice will surely be gone without a trace at around 10 or 11 a.m. In other words, we might just squeak this one out, all depending on the time the ice is dealt with. Besides, theres nothing worse than just a little bit of ice.

I personally would love a delay over a snowday. Save my snowdays for a time when I can go outside and enjoy them. Here’s the predicition:

Predictions at 7:10 p.m.

  • Delay . . . . 40%
  • Closing. . . .25%
  • Early Dismissal . . . . 0%

I have a sneaking suspiscion that I was a little too lax on my Closing prediction. I feel that I should up the chance of closing and be a little more daring. Live life on the edge man. Giants and 49ers are in over time, and I’m feeling lucky. Heres the final prediction for tonight.

Prediction at 10:15 p.m

  • Delay . . . . 40%
  • Closing. . . . 40%
  • Early Dismissal . . . .0%
